Thanks From Iraq I am currently a soldier in Iraq, but hope to be home in time for winter racing. You sent an associate of mine some decals over here, and I wanted to know how to get some for my trailer back home. I am also sending some pictures of a Polaris we pieced together. The Air Force threw away two baskets and I managed to make one work. And the stickers helped the overall visual appeal of the machine. I am with a National Guard unit and our year is almost over. Jeremy Thompson Marshfield. MO .. Now shut your pie hole and start showing us, instead of telling us, how good you are." 6 Volume treaty for England with Adolph Hitler. Of course, all "Red" bikes pay the same annual fee as a Green Sticker bike that can be ridden all year. Sounds to me like a case for a publiC-interest law firm, since our own representatives won't fight it! Can't the AMA at Sharon Clayton - President Michael Klinger - Publisher Mike, this isn't the Ultimate Fighting octagon - this is professional motocross. You should feel lucky that you didn't get your young butt beat. It would behoove you to take note of current and past champions Ricky Carmichael, Chad Reed, Jeremy McGrath, Rick Johnson, David Bailey, Johnny O'Mara, etc., on track etiquette. Hey, everyone wants to win, but sportsmanship is a huge part of winning. Now shut your pie hole and start showing us, instead of telling us, how good you are. Michael A, Manuri Naples. A fee reduction would really scare the state! For the last two years I have circulated thousands of petitions to the governor of California, the preSident of the AMA and the deputy director of the California Air Resources Board. The petition asks a simple question: How was data generated to substantiate OHV users in California produce excessive levels of air pollution? To this day, the question has never been answered! They all want this question to go away. Our generation must get this answered and changed for the next generation. Otherwise the kids will ask us, "How could you let this happen?" Dave Duffin via the Internet Kudos, AMA High praise goes out to the AMA for levying the $5000 fine on Mike Alessi. Wake up, Well, Laguna Seca has done it again. I was told when I bought my "Priority" ticket that all on-track tickets would be "grandfathered." I was told this when I ordered them. Iwas told this by one of the SCRAMP guys while waiting to get my spot. The adjacent camps and I discussed this, so I waited for my notice to buy my tickets, paddock passes and camping. Then I read about others who received their letters and had purchased their tickets. Now I am without camping and paddock passes. Laguna says they count on their core fans. Well, I have been going to the road races for over 30 years and I bring a crew of over 10 people. And now I am out on a couple of waiting lists. Thanks, SCRAMP. I will go this year, but only because it may be Valentino Rossi's last. And, since he came in third, he will do his magic and try to win the race. (He will!) But I am going to make 2006 my last year. Rossi will be gone after that. Laguna is for the rich and the stars. I will never again recommend that anyone go to Laguna Seca. Hey, all the movie stars and Michael Jordan can have it. I hope, as in most things Los Angeles, that two years from now it will all be passe for the rich folks, the crowds will dwindle, and the dream will die. Hey, they don't need us - the hard-core fans. They obViously don't want us. And they enjoy their private boxes and parties and such. Have fun. Adios! David Bell Oakland. I was glad to see the amount of "ink," support and political pressure the AMA is lending to the issue of riding dirt bikes on private property. This item played a prominent role in the last two issues. The article focused on how Jeremy McGrath and some others may be restricted from riding on their own land by the Board of Supervisors of Riverside County, California. Of course I am glad to see our organization taking a proactive role in helping this relatively small group of riders who are financially able to have personal riding areas. I was also amazed that the AMA sent its legislative affairs director to render testimony at hearings. Meanwhile, every year, 50 to 70 percent of all new off-road bikes sold in California get the ominous (and peculiarly named) "Red Sticker" OHV registration. Comrade Lenin would be proud of this program. It is similar to systems developed in communist countries around the world to manage the proletariat. I have been told by the president and legislative affairs director of the AMA that all the motorcycle organizations and manufacturers in the state agree with this registration program, which prevents "Red Sticker" bikes from riding on public lands for six months of the year. Our organizations "agreed" to the system - much like Neville Chamberlain agreed to a peace CgcleNews Kory Klinger - Site Manager CLASSIFIED ADS Ryan Merrill GRAPHICS· PRODUCTION Kathleen Lawlor - Production Manager Sunju Kwon, Robert Martin, Christina Pendon - Graphic Artists ADMINISTRATION Judy Klinger - Coordinator Ashleigh Klein - Administrative Assistant ACCOUNTING· DATA PROCESSING Donna Bryan-Diamond - AIR Coordinator Geneva Repass - Assistant Stacy Ryan - Credit Manager CIRCULATION Alma Anguiano - Circulation Manager Carol Maggio - Processing Coordinator Megan Carmona - Dealer Coordinator SERVICE· SUPPORT Robert Escandon - Service and Support NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS 3505-M Cadillac Ave., Costa Mesa.
