Max Manzo gave Aprilia more reason to smile by finishing third overall in S1, marking the first podium finish for rilia in the big-bike class. passed him for the lead. Delepine recovered and went on to win, with Husky teammate Lazzarini second and Manzo a pretty close third. VDB started from far behind and eventually finished in sixth place. Hiemer suffered more bad luck and was only able to muster a 10th-place finish, which cost him the points lead. S2 The S2 class should be a pretty embattled division with just two rounds remaining - there was supposed to be three rounds left, but the Spanish GP at Finestrat has been canceled. After Jesolo, the top four riders are so close that anything can happen before the championship is over. The first three riders - Husqvarna's Adrien Chareyre, Husqvarna's Seel and Red Bull KTM's Chambon - are really close, but the fourth, Aprilia's Bolley, is not out of the picture either, thanks to his overall win at the Mediterranean GP. The first moto began with Bolley leading the pack, while Seel immediately made a mistake and fell back. Seel's race didn't last long after that, since he went down pretty hard in the fast chicane before the finish line a few laps later. Bolley kept his lead until he made an error that opened the door to Massimo Beltrami, who was running strong in the wet conditions. Cham bon rode conservatively and finished in fourth place, while Adrien Chareyre finished fifth. Bad luck was the bottom line for reigning S2 World Champion Jerome Giraudo, who had a crash in the dirt and then couldn't avoid the bike of a fallen rider in moto one. The second race saw Bolley once again take the lead immediately. He held it for half the race, only to be passed by Thomas Chareyre (brother of Adrien). Thomas went on to win his first moto in S2. Seel got a good third, behind Bolley, and Verderosa was fourth, ahead of Adrien, who took over the S2 series point lead. The next stop will be in Megara-Pahi, Greece, instead of the previously scheduled Athens GP. eN PISTA AZZURA 01 JESOLO JESOLO, ITALY RESULTS: OCTOBER (ROUND 6 OF 2, 2005 8) 5 I OVERALL: I.
