Briefly... The Antioch Speedway round of Gene Romero's West Coast Flat Track Series, which was scheduled for October I, has been canceled. "Just like many of the short track venues in California, the Antioch Speedway promoters have been having a difficult year, and it was difficult for them to package our event under the present time and conditions, such as escalating fuel costs. We have maintained a positive relationship with them, and they have made it clear that they will be on our 2006 schedule." With the Antioch round canceled, the final round of Gene Romero's West Coast Flat Track Series is scheduled to take place at the Chowchilla Barnburner on the Chowchilla Fairgrounds in Chowchilla, California, on September 24. For more information, call 714/529-6054. Beginning on Thursday, September 29, at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, safety seminars to educate both new and experienced riders on on-and-off track safety will be held. The first safety seminar speaker will be former Supercross and Motocross National Champion Jeff Emig. Emig will discuss safety in general, including riding gear, motorcycle maintenance and more. There will also be information on Glen Helen's racetracks and facility. The seminars will be held on the last Thursday of each month and each will feature new speakers. The seminars will take place at 10 a.m. at t'he REM tower located on the northeast of the racetrack. Everyone is invited. For more informa- tion, call 909/880-3090 or visit www.glenhelen.com. ;;.~•••~7-••;:;:;;;;;;;.;;;;(f)8W;-;L;-:a~v::;i 1~I:a:-:ll;a;:-;k:e=s~--;:leo=n:H:aslaminished third in the f ~ BSB Lead g Airwaves Ducati rider Gregorio ~ >- lavilla stormed into the British
