"It was about time," lazzarini said
after his win. "I've been waiting for the
bad luck to take his sight away from
me. and finally I could race a GP the
way I want, which Is fighting for the
win. I really like this track. It is really
fast and with a perfect off-road section. They did a grtl8l job to keep It In
perfect condltlon while It was I'8inIng. and I
hid a lot of fun."
For Red Bul KTM's Chambon. the Irish round was
simply a matter of picking up where he left off before
the break. the Frendvnan claiming his second 52 Ylctory of the year and the second In as many rounds.

"You know. I had a busy summer," lazzarini said. "I
went to the X GaI1lm. and another flat tire let me
down when I was so dose to tasting some success over
there. I was sure I could get a silver medal at least - 1
deserved that. Then, in the AMA National. we struggled with the bike settings. But here I was so happy
with the bike. Ifeel pretty good on it, and I think everyone saw that."
Even so. lazzarini took a little time to warm up to
the Irish circuit. He was fifth in the timed practices.

Max Manzo and Gerald Deleplne. In a dry SuperPole
the next day, "VDB" gained the pole position on the
grid. with Delepine. Hiemer and Manzo following him.
VDB appeared to be In great form. while Hiemer (who
was still a little sore from a car crash that he was
Involved in the previous week) running second for
most of the race. lazzarini passed Hiemer for second
place with two laps to go. Right after that. Hiemer
made a small mistake in the dirt. Hiemer would finish
the race In 12th place.
DeIepIne also performed well, coming from sixth to
third. Surprisingly, Delepine complained to lazzarini at
