McLevy crashed and Mike Lafferty stopped
to check on his condition. Before that,
lafferty was slowed by a derailed chain.
"I derailed my chain on the first lap the first three miles," lafferty said. "I was
behind [Nathan] Kanney at that time. I
had to do some work getting the chain
back on. A lot of A-dass riders got past
me. but I caught up to them by the end of
the second lap.

Series despite not having
things go his way off the start, as his wellknown never-say-die approach to racing
