NASHVILLE, TN 37214 515/937-1000 MOTORCYCLE-KARTTIRES.COM Superior Rubber Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC announces three new sizes in its latest generation of Bridgestone brand motocross tires: the 90/1 00-21 front, the 120/80-19 rear and the soon-to-bereleased I 10/80-19 rear. With a new profile design with larger casing volume, the 90/1002 I front has increased contact patch, which Bridgestone claims provides better bump absorption and exceptional straight-line stability, with new block placement for continual contact feeling and increased braking capability. Bridgestone's 120/80-19 rear features taller center blocks, designed for maximum dig and optimum block spacing to promote excellent grip and wear. Both tires are currently available in soft terrain (M201/M202) and intermediate terrain (M401/M402) and will be available in hard terrain (M601/M602) in the fall. The tire sizes are OE on the new Suzuki RM-Z4S0 and were developed for 4S0cc four-stroke bikes, though they can be used for two-strokes as well. The yet-to-be-released I 10/80-19 has the same characteristics as the 120/80-19 but is designed for 2S0cc four-strokes. Perched Works Connection's Elite Perch with thumb-operated hot start has been designed to meet even the most selective rider's demands. This "next generation" perch has increased strength in its body to improve performance and durability in all conditions, and the factory, red-anodized, on-the-fly adjuster with new machined grooves makes adjustments super easy and quick. The clutch lever has been CNC'd from solid billet aluminum into a "shorty" design, with Works' logo engraved into the lever's blade. To improve both lever action and mobility, the lever itself has three sealed bearings and a large, 8mm-diameter pivot bolt, with a heavy-duty lever cover to help protect the lever and prevent the terra firma from gumming up the works. The lever features an adjustable reach to fit a variety of hand sizes, and a nylon sleeve allows the perch to rotate under impact. ROOSTER PERFORMANCE CRF450X RADIATOR GURARD $90 1880 SW MERLO OR. BEAVERTON, OREGON 97006 503/549-3485 ROOSTERPERFORMANCE.COM Breathing Room Rooster Performance introduces its radiator guard for CRF4S0X models. Acknowledging that it was best not to mess with Honda's extensive work with its airflow and louver design, Rooster created its CRF4S0X guard such as not to change the airflow charact"';stics of Honda's design. It is designed, however, to provide superior side-impact resistance, which, according to Rooster, should protect against 98 percent of all damaging crashes. Rooster has tested its radiator guard in many conditions, including off-road racing, trail riding and in the ISDE. The guards are constructed from 6061 aluminum and are powder coated, and the unit is available in red and blue. CYCLE NEWS • AUGUST 31,2005 89
