MSRPs ~~"'~J' $3298 $3598 $3748 $4298 $5398 $6298 $6598 $6998 $7098 M will be offering nine SX motocrossers to chose from in '06, including the 250 SX-F, which was released in limited umbers earlier this year as an '05 model. For all intents and purposes, the '06 is the same as the 'OS, but it did get some minor refinements. like the 250 SX-F, all of the '06 SXs will feature a new look with black frames and rims. And all of the SXS get a new cast aluminum swingarm, a revamped fork and shock, and a new rear master cylinder. The 250 SX (two-stroke) also receives a steeper steering angle, and all of the fourstrokes get reinforcing at the steering head. And with every purchase, you get a competition kit that includes plastics, stickers and spare parts. The bike should start appearing in the showrooms very soon, if not already. 250 SX The 250 SX two-stroke features major updates to the power-valve and cylinder. It also has a lighter piston, a smaller PWK 36 AG carburetor, a longer secand-gear ratio (smaller step ta third gear) and a new COl ignition. S4 AUGUST 31,2005 • CYCLE NEWS It should be a lot easier ta get your hands on the 250 SX-F now that it's finally in full production. Most of the engine changes to the 450 and 525 SX were made with durability in mind. They bath get stronger crankshafts and new valve guides made of sintered steel. The bikes are, however, fitted with new FCR-MX41 carburetors for improved throttle response. 525 SX 125 SX Motorwise, the 125 SX took many changes. It has a new cylinder, a new V-Force 3 reed-valve body, a new COl ignition, a lighter and stronger clutch, a new crankcase bearing seat, a new bearing for the countershaft and a new exhaust pipe. But perhaps mast notable is the addition of a sixth gear in the tranny. 85 SX The 85 SX got a lot of changes for '06. Just about every part has been modified, including the frame, suspension and transmission.
