Preston, who did not make himself available for comment afterward, with fourth overall. For Fonseca, it was his second podium in a row after finishing third at Washougal two weeks before. In the meantime, Wey claimed one of his best finishes in awhile, posting a very consistent 5-5 finish for fifth overall. "The opportunity for a podium was there today, but in the second moto, I didn't get the start I needed," Wey said. "I didn't get a very good start in the first moto, either, but I passed four or five guys through those sand whoops, so I was pumped about that. The line smoothed out for the second moto, so that advantage wasn't there for me. I've been improving every week, and I feel good about·today. It would be nice to go home with a podium, but 5-5 is one of my best finishes all year." Barry earstan teer Suzuki, claimed seventh with a 7-6 performance. Carmichael's win at Millville marked his sixth straight at the venue, and he has never lost on a 250 at the track. He had a lot of momentum heading into the event, and after two consecutive years of running the table, his competition is getting tired of getting hammered. At the press conference after the event, however, Carmichael perhaps offered his competition a ray of hope for the future. "The biggest thing I wanted to accomplish this year was a Supercross title," Carmichael said. "If I hadn't of won it, I would have felt there was some unfinished work to do. But that is why I am having fun. There is no pressure on me now. I got that, and it's done. I feel that what I have accomplished is good, and I don't feel there is anything else to accomplish.
