The race didn't get past the first corner for Hofmann,
Jacque and Byrne. Who W3$ fD blame? jacque said
Byrne, Hofmann said Jacque, ind Byrne was just gutted to crash in consecutive races.
"Admittedly, I was going to run into the first corner
a little bit hot, not like tragiQllly." Byrne began, "but

"Damn," Bayliss said. "When things are going

The race was on its sixth lap when Hopkins highsided for the second time. This one wasn't as big as
the Friday ca..--YIOrst for him, but his airborne acrobatics ~ nonetheless impressive.
"Well, I'm battered and bruised," he said. "I had
one of the worst highsides I've ever had on Friday and
then came cJose to topping that one off IhIs afternoon."
Given the upsfde of racing - a few points at most and the obvious downside, the team's decision to let
Hopkins ride was baffling.
Hayden had led from the start and was in front

Again he got the jump on the field, but soon quite
