Rookie Superbike rider Ben Spies has already
proved his mettle in 2005. claiming a race win and
battling reigning Champion Mat Mladin hard in the
points chase. As of the Mid-Ohio doubleheader,
Spies is only nine points behind Mladin and a
serious threat for the championship.
