Kawasaki tacked on an extra gear in the
tranny, making the KX280F a six-jeed.
This gives the 1i"le KX more top-en
speed and be~r versatility. (First through
fifth gears were left unchanged.) Since the
Washougal race was so tight, very rarely
did we get the chance to visit sixth, but
we certainly like the idea.
