3 categories.

On day two, Silvan was again the rider
to beat and managed to stay ahead of
Cervantes by just one second. Moving
into the third-place spot after a strong
ride on day one, French Yamaha rider
Marc Germain moved himself into a comfortable second place in the E I championship standings due in part to the two
poor results recorded by Italian Simone
Albergoni.
Hoping to finish on the podium on day
two, as he had on day one, Edmondson
placed in fourth on the second day, 12
seconds behind Germain.
Joining his countryman Silvan in claiming a double-class victory, Aro claimed
the win in the Enduro 2 class on both
days in the Czech Republic. Finishing just
over 3 1/2 seconds ahead on day one, the
Finn extended his winning margin on day
two to 20 seconds.
"Day one was pretty difficult in the
morning because of the mud, especially
on the extreme test," Aro said. "It is
always difficult in the mud when you're
riding a four-stroke. But then the conditions improved. and I had a great fight
with [Stefan1Merriman and [Fabien1Planet.
Finn Petteri Silvan took his first victory since last year.
In the Enduro I class, Silvan claimed his
first WEC victory since the '04 French Gp,
topping the E I podium on both days.
Having produced mixed results so far in
'05, Silvan topped day one by just over
five seconds and then won day two by a
slender one second.
"I really enjoyed the race, and for the
first time this season I didn't have any
problems," the Finn said. "It was nice riding in the mud on day one; I felt really
comfortable with my riding. I don't know
what has changed in my riding, but I am
really happy to have won."
With Silvan claiming the win on
day one, Paul Edmondson claimed
his best result of the series so far
when he finished as runner-up. In
contention for the win all day, a
stalled engine on one of the
extreme
special
tests
cost
Edmondson a handful of seconds
and his chance of winning.
Finishing third, just two-hundreds
of a second behind Edmondson, was
E I -class leader Ivan Cervantes.
