The grid for the 1991 500cc Grand Prix at Laguna
Seca was packed with homegrown talent. The front
row was graced with the presence of Wayne Rainey
(I). John Kocinski (19) and Kevin Schwantz (34) next
to Mick Doohan (3). But look closer: Eddie Lawson
(7, behind Rainey), Rich Oliver (97) and Doug Chandler (21) are in there as well. Rainey won the race
over Doohan and Schwantz.
