AMA 250cc National Motocross Championship Series Presented by FMF 14 Kevin Windham 4th (4-4) Team AmsoiVChaparraVHonda's Kevin Windham was under- ....- - - - - - - - - - , standably disappointed with his fourth-place finish. It was his second week in a row that he was off the podium. "I mean, '-H!:li:= I'm very frustrated," Windham said. "Both motos I was in a good position to make a move and just didn't capitalize on it. I don't know, I feel bad right now. Not mentally or anything, just physically. I just don't feel good today. I don't know what it is but I felt better than this at Southwick, and [today] the track was a considerable amount easier and the day is a lot cooler. I don't know if I need rest or need to hit It harder, I don't know. But I'm just very bummed with how today went." 24 Ernesto Fonseca 5th (5-5) With excellent starts aboard his Factory Honda CRF450, Emesto Fonseca turned in two fifth-place finishes. "The first moto I got off to a really good start, and I kind of raced my own race," Fonseca said. "I was behind Ricky off the start, but then Bubba, Chad and Windham passed me early on. It seems like those guys were a little bit·faster and their speed was just a little bit better. They just kind of walked away from me after that, and then I just pretty much just rode my own race. [Timmy] Ferry was riding good, but I don't know... it seemed like he slowed down a little bit, because I caught up to him and passed him. After that, I just had my own race. The second moto I had an okay start. They held the gate for the longest time, and I didn't really get the start that I wanted. I just kind of dove in there and didn't really do as bad as I thought. I stayed there, and [David] Vuillemin got around me, and I pretty much just raced the whole race with him. I passed him and I was doing good, and then I tried a different rhythm in those whoops back there, went off the track and he passed me back. Then, finally, I just got him back at the end, with like three laps to go or something. I was lucky enough to pull away." 91 JoshWoods know. But I just kind of pulled away, and I started catching Chad a little bit. Then I kind of screwed up in the back section back there on the off-camber - I kind of lost my drive." After that, Reed, Stewart and Windham all settled into their respective places while Carmichael motored away to another moto victory and overall. Carmichael crossed the line 17.847 seconds ahead of Reed in second, with Stewart third and Windham fourth. In the overall results, Carmichael took the win, and Reed just edged out Stewart for second, while Windham was fourth with his consistent 4-4 finishes. Fonseca rounded out the top five with 5-5 moto scores. eN BUDDS CREEK MOTOCROSS PARK BUDDS CREEK, MARYlAND RESULTS: JUNE 19, 2005 (ArnR 4 Of 12 ROUNDS) MOTO I: I. Ricky Carmichael (Suz); 2.
