Road America came under sustained criticism for its various patches, curbing and
slick spots, especially once the rain came.

The pair split the lapper and came very close to each

"I don't think we bumped. I don't know how close it

Ducati Austin's Eric Bostrom was half a second back in
fourth, but he was unable to make a dent in the leaders
at the end of the race when he came up on the same
lapped rider.
Yoshimura Suzuki's Aaron Yates recovered from a disastrous first lap to take fifth. Yates said his Suzuki GSXRI000 felt like it wasn't running on four cylinders before
the red flag. Nothing the crew did dUring the short break
made a difference, and Yates was mostly left on the line at
the start. Halfway into the race, the engine felt strong and
Yates moved more qUickly through the field. His quickest
lap was the 12th, and his final five were his fastest. eN
