Applied Racing's highaccuracy (+/- 0.3 psi at
midrange) gauge features
a 2-inch-diameter easyto-read dial, rugged rubber cover to prevent
damage, an angled chuck
that swivels at both ends
and a pressure bleed
valve. Once the reading
is taken, the dial won't
move until you depress
the bleed valve. A gauge is most
accurate around midrange, and since
most MX tires should be run with 12-17
psi of pressure, a gauge with a mid-span of
15 is ideal. That is why Applied chose a 0-30 psi
gauge instead of a 0-15 psi gauge. Also, damage to the
gauge from overpressurization is much less likely with
a 0-30 psi gauge than with a 0-15 psi gauge.
