Bruce Ie Riche was Aaron's closest competitor, finishing second both days. The Domination Continue§ Geoff Aaron caps it all off with EI Trial de Espana victory In fact, section eight was nearly impossible; only three scores were punched there that were less than a five, and Aaron had two of them - a pair of threes. Section 12 was perhaps the section where Aaron gained the most ground on the pack. It consisted of a series of loose dirt-bank climbs in and out of a deep ravine. Florin rIVed the exit on the first lap when he didn't hit the steep bank hard enough, and Ie Riche took a two after losing momentum on the tallest climb when he began to spin. Aaron clicked it up into third and was all over the bike, but he never touched a foot to the ground on any of his three rides in the only section of the weekend that didn't feature a rock as an obstacle. At the finish, Aaron posted loop scores of eight, four and six for an 18point total and his second win of the weekend. Le Riche again was the bride's maid after going a consistent 10- I I-I I for a total of 32. Florin had some of the most spectacular rides of the day but was not as consistent, and he finished out with one point more than Ie Riche for third, while Webb and Wineland again rounded out the top five. eN de Bruin (106): Todd Bennett (112).
