A leisurely 10-mile trip through the Cap rock Canyons allowed everyone to get back on their minute before the next check-in, where the enduro began in earnest. The PEA put in a lot of time preparing for this enduro. "This event was the best use of that land that I can recall," said TSCEC vice president David Stuart. "The club really put a lot of thought into it. And the back~to-back gas stops was a great idea." Checks were well placed, and the roll chart gave most riders a clear vision of what to expect. Most of the course was fresh singletrack, narrow and varied. There were three splits where the A riders were strenuously tested, while C riders were given a break. Two tests were A-only, but the most memorable section was shared with the B riders. "I don't know if I've ever ridden one section so long in my life," said a weary rider after more than 4S minutes between flags. Second gas ended the ordeal, allOWing nearly half an hour to rest or get back on time. One more short section and a return trip through the canyons led to a final three miles on the grasstrack. Ian Blythe captured the B division overall not bad for an under-16 rider who just moved up this season. "I'd like to thank Vickery Motorsports and Moose Racing," Blythe said. Josh Dailey continued his winning streak in the 16-and-Under Small-Wheel class, placing him atop two TSCEC divisions. RMEC president Jeff Markewicz claimed another first in Super Senior B, and Blake Ross whipped the "gold~plated Yamaha" to his first win in the 2S0cc B class. Chad Metcalf earned the A-division overall, and Chance Willis topped the C division. Mark eN (Han).
