With one round still left, Carmichael rose to the
challenge at Reliant Stadium and defied all doubters on the way
to his 12th AMA title, fourth AMA 250cc Supercross Championship, and the first AMA 250cc Supercross Championship for
Suzuki since 1981. It was also Carmichael's second championship of the year. Carmichael clinched the THQ World
Supercross Grand Prix Championship at the previous round in
Seattle, making him the first rider to ever win both the World
