opening mota, Hullfish could only watch from second position
as the very swift Yamaha pilot Matt Sanders ran away with the
mota win. When the time came for the second mota, Hullfish
was ready for battle, and he took the lead, with Sanders hot on
his rear fender. The two freight-trained around the track, and at
the flag it was Hullnsh, Sanders, Hall and Yamaha-mounted
Aaron Cone.
The Supermini class featured a day-long fight between
Honda. rider Travis Kortessis and Kawasaki jockeys Chris
McBride and Scott Brownlow. During the first lap of the
opening mota, the pair traded blows and swapped the lead
back and forth until Kortessis took the lead and held off
McBride for the moto win. The first two laps of the second
mota had Kortessis out front, while McBride pinned the
throttle to keep within striking distance. With one lap
remaining, McBride made his move and snatched the lead away
from Kortessis. However, Kortessis was not done: He made a
pass over the big tabletop - but McBride held the gas on and
took the next tum ahead of Kortessis and took the mota win.
Sean Sattanno and Jonathan Peterson followed the two leaders
at the checkers.

T
The nine-race series at Knobby Hill and Thunder Hill MX Park
started out with a bang, as riders from Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri
and Kansas gathered together to do battle. After a long winter
layoff, the riders were greeted with unseasonably warm temperatures in the 70s.
In Pro racing action, Missouri's Jeff Crutcher and Nebraska's
Travis Hodges battled all day long for the lion's share of the
money. In moto one of the 250cc Pro class, Crutcher pulled the
holeshot on his Donnel's SuzukifMSRlSmith-backed Suzuki and
dominated the entire race. Hodges kept Crutcher in his Sights.
but there was no challenging Crutcher in this one. Honda rider
Craig Royce finished out the mota in third.
Moto two was a different story_ Hodges pulled the holeshot
on his Thor/One Industries-backed Honda and led the first four
