Chandler Make§ a Shift
SHIFT, a leader in motocross and karting apparel,
recently announced that it has reached an agreement
with legendary Superbike Champion Doug Chandler
to wear SHIFT supermoto and road racing gear during the 2005 season.
A native of Salinas, California, Chandler got his
start in dirt track racing before going on to road racing stardom as a competitor in World GP, and he is a
three-time champion in the AHA Superbike Series.
Chandler (who's also an accomplished supermoto
racer, as well as an avid motocrosser and shifter kart
driver) and his enthusiastic involvement in a variety of
motorsports made him the natural choice for
SHIFT's broad range of products.
Known as one of the most technical riders in the
sport, Chandler brings a vast amount of experience
to SHIFT and will playa key role in the research and
development of the company's new line of technical
supermoto and street riding apparel.

Wayne Rainey and Kevin Schwantz were
fierce rivals in the late 80s and early 90s, but
here they take some time to hang out during
the official Grand Prix test at Jerez in 1991.
