entered at a motocross race in Irwindale,
Califomia... Malcolm Smith recaptured
his Soboba Grand Prix title that he won in
1973. He fought off a challenge from the
previous year's winner, Jim Fishback, to
take a well-deserved victory... At an AME
race at DeAnza Cycle Park in California,
Ken Zahrt put his Trans-AMA skills to
good use and took home the $600 purse
for his victory in the 250cc Expert class.
