Mitchell in second and Musgrave in third. By lap two, Mitchell
had taken the lead. but Musgrave was pushing behind him for
the next two laps. Then Musgrave made the pass for the lead.

Musgrave held on (or a I-I score and the overall win. Mitchell

ran 2-2 (or second, and McCall went 3-3 (or third overall.
The very competitive Intermediate classes raced to the first
corner, with Max Nelson taking the early lead on lap one, and

Joe Prais and Mark Wadlington trailing behind him. On lap two,
Prais stole the lead from Nelson. The two battled for the lead,
with Nelson coming back to take it by the next lap. Wadlington
rode a strong moto, starting in third place but giving Prais
another battle for second, which Wadlington took on lap four,
and he held on to it until the checkers, making the finish order
Nelson, Wadlington and Prais.
In moto two, Wadlington had the lead as they came around
for the first lap. followed by Nelson and Jeff Belknap. On lap
two, Nelson took the lead, and Belknap was still third. When
the checkers flew, Nelson crossed the line for the win, but
Belknap redeemed his first-moto DNF with a second·place
finish, and Prais was third. The podium saw Nelson on the top
step, with Prais second and Wadlington third.
In 2B-35 Beginner-<:Iass action. Scott Terrell cruised to easy I-I
finishes, giving the rest or the class a target to shoot for. Sean
Kamborian scored 2-3 finishes. ahead of Jim Herrmann (7-2).
The 36-42 Beginner-class winner, Brad Kinney, delivered
consistent 3-2 finishes for the top spot in the class. Mark Halaby
scored the second spot with 2--4 moto placings, and third went
to Vince Laker, who, with 4·3 moto finishes, showed
consistency pays off.
Round three of the Vet X Winter Series will be held at
Cahuilla Creek MX in Anza. California. on January 30.
