As the newest sponsor to the race team, Rockford Fosgate joins team sponsors Amsoil, Chaparral Motorsports, Honda, Napster and Factory Connection. Team owner Rick Zielfelder said that the team was excited to have what he called the leader in the car audio industry join the team. "They [Rockford Fosgate] understand this demographic," Zielfelder said. "The fans of this sport are into their vehicles and music. This will be a great partnership for both the team and the sport." Rockford Fosgate plans to leverage its sponsorship with the team by making appearances at select retailers in major markets during the THQ AMA Supercross and AMA National Championship Motocross seasons. Additionally, Rockford Fosgate will have an on-site hospitality program at each race where it will entertain key dealers in each market. "We want to reward our loyal dealers by allowing them to experience Supercross/Motocross through the eyes of one of the sport's most successful teams," said Zach Luke, marketing manager for Rockford Fosgate. "Our invited guests will be treated to a unique behindthe-scenes look that's typically only afforded to true insiders." Other benefits of the sponsorship include a custom design of the team's Honda Element, which will be equipped with a state-of-the-art Rockford Fosgate audio system. The Element will be on display at every race on the circuit and will allow Rockford Fosgate dealers and consumers to experience firsthand the quality of the Rockford Fosgate brand. Rockford Fosgate will also receive branding on Mike laRocco's helmet and race hauler. as well as the 125 team's race hauler, and each of the riders' helmets. The sponsorship was negotiated by Wasserman Media Group Marketing, which represents the Amsoil Chaparral Honda race team. Jeremy McGrath and Damon Huffman were on win streaks, after winning again in San Diego, California, in their respective classes.
