Advanced clean in the highly technical section five, which featured a tricky slab descent, Andrew Oldar jumped off into the lead after the first loop, with earlier leader Chris Cullins in hot pursuit. Ian Delaney pulled off the best score of the second loop, but he remained in third due to a tough first lap. Cullins pulled ahead of Oldar in the deep water section on the last loop, which Oldar lived. Up to the challenge, Oldar refused to touch his foot down again in the trial, and Cullins' three more dabs dropped him back into second, though comfortably ahead of Delaney. Tori Carrillo led the Novices from start to finish, while it took Chase Harker three sections to grab the Intermediate lead, which he then never relinquished. Jonathan Beck had no problem taking a win in the Sportsman class. The father-and-son team of Anthony and Ryan Sandoval easily won the Expert and Master classes, respectively, as six-monthspregnant Yvonne Sandoval (Anthony'S wife and Ryan's mom) sat out the event. There was talk at the riders' meeting of awarding double points for foul-weather events. Afterward, most of the riders agreed that it was so much fun splashing through the drenching that they'd still have been there even if it had been a no-points event. Series. American Suzuki/WMR-backed Kyle Tobin had an impressive weekend. winning eight out of the nine motos he entered. In the first moto of the 250cc B class, Jonathan Camp pulled the holeshot, with Tobin in tow. With a hard, aggressive charge, Tobin overrode Camp to take the lead and the moto win. Camp settled for second, while Tyler livesay, Jacob Miiler and Zach Miller wrapped up the top five positions. In the second and third motos, Tobin maneuvered his bike into the lead on the stallS. With consistent and smooth rides. Tobin finished 1-1-1 overall for the weekend. Camp had a solid ride in moto two, working his way up from the back of the pack into the fourth position, which gave him second overall for the weekend. Livesay put in great rides for a 3-2-3 tally and third place on the podium. The 85cc (12-13) class was stacked with competition. North Carolinas' Ian Trettle took every holeshot aboard his Suzuki and scored 1-1-1 finishes. Kyle Goerke put together some great motos. going 2-2-5 for second overall. In the first mota, Goerke kept Trettle in sight. and they both checked out on the rest of the pack. Justin Barcia was a top contender, but unfortunately he could not finish mota one due to a flat tire. On the next lap, Doyle retook the lead, but then Page entered the picture. giving Doyle a run on the final lap and then passing him to take the victory.
