Bobby Kiniry

Now riding for team ECClHonda, Bobby Kiniry, didn't have a great night. "I had a rough
time getting into the main," Kiniry said. "I fell in the first comer; I pulled the holeshot in the
heat race and then someone ran into the back of me and got stuck in my back tire, locked
it up and I fell. I got up, made some passes, and then - passing some guy - I fell again. I had
to go to the LCQ, got a really bad start, got up to the last-chance first spot, so it wasn't too
bad. Then in the main, I got a really bad start, and then, coming into the first corner, I got
smashed by someone, and it bent my front brake rotor really bad, and my front wheel kepi:
locking up every time it would make a rotation. Uke off jumps, my front wheel would just
lock up, and I had no front brake for the whole mota, and I just tried to salvage some
points. So I'm going to try to be top-fIVe by the end of the season. Yeah, for sure I think I
can get on the podium. My times were all right this weekend, and I really didn't think I was
riding that great this weekend. A lot of people thought I made a huge improvement, and I
know I have a little bit more to give. So I think I'm looking to
be on the podium in the next few races - that's definitely
whatI'm looking for.

Monster/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Matt Walker did well In his
heat race, but in the main he got off to a horrible start and
was forced to climb up from II tho At the end of the night, he
was able to look on the positive side. "I just took It easy [on
the heat race]," Walker said. ':o\nd I just wanted to be consistent on each lap and put it in the main event, and that's what I
did." And as for the main event? "I needed to be a little more
aggressive at the beginning," Walker said. "I ended up following a lot, and there won't be any following next time."
Briefly...

know, that orange gear let me down quite
a few times, and [it was] a couple years ago
when I was racing Chad [Reed], so I had to
throw it in the dumpster."
Open winner, Motoworld Racing/Honda's
Greg Schnell, who was followed across the
line by holeshot winner Smith in 10th.
As for Millsaps, he isn't going to let this
win dump more pressure on him. And he
certainly isn't going to change.
"No, not at all- I'm still going to act like
myself," Millsaps said. ''I'm not going to
change over one race. I won my race yeah, I'm excited, but I'm not going to be
out there in the pits being all cocky, like
I'm above everyone else. No, it's the
same Davi Millsaps, right here, that's it,
that's me - goofy."
