Tooting Our
Own Horn
Ride days are all the rage these days.
They are a great way for magazines
such as Cycle News to bond with
their advertisers and show them how
much we appreciate their support.
On Wednesday, january 19, the
first (and we hope annual) Cycle News
Ride Day took place at Southern California's Cahuilla Creek MX Parl<. In
addition to many of our advertisers
and representatives from the numerous motorcycle manufacturers that
we deal with on a regular basis, various ViPs were also on hand. Most
notable among them were former
Supercross and National Motocross
Champion jeff Emlg, Ryan Hughes,
factory Honda road racer jake
Zemke, former AMA Motocross
Champion Gary jones, Supercross
Champion Mike Bell, 1990 12Scc
East Supercross Champion Denny
Stephenson, zillion-time Arenacross
Champion Buddy Antunez, Arenacross front-runner Brad Hagseth,
World Champion PWC racer Victor
Sheldon, mini star Ryan Villopoto, dirt
tracker johnny Murphree, Freestyle
star Ronnie Renner, Desert Champion
and KTM boss Scot Harden. World
Enduro Champion juha Salminen, and
off-road star Kurt Caselli.
