Club Moto Wednesday Night MX Racing Club Moto All Olivares on Wednesday Nightl Bv KRIS HALLEE UVERMORE, CA, DEC. 1 randon Olivares was smoking-fast aboard his Suzuki at Club Moco's Wednesday Night MX Racing event. Olivares seemed unaffeaed by the cold temperatures and used the tacky track conditions to carry more speed than his competition into the comers, fanning the dutch on the way out with the throttle pinned. Fearless, Olivares doubled the step-up triple on every lap to maintain his momentum. It was his impressrve and consistent display of motocross skill that gave him the overall victory in the 60cc Novice and 60cc (6-8) classes. Zach Andrade showed the same skills in the 80cc class, piloting his I-Moto/Posey Racin&,D&H Cycles-backed KTM to (WO moto wins and a well-deserved victory in the 80cc (12-16) class. The surprise race of the night in the Pro classes was the second 2S0cc Pro moto. Tracy Chevrolet/Extreme Motorsports team rider Steve Hernandez had won the first moto and again appeared to be the fastest rider in the class in moto two. On lap two, in hot pursUit of Beau judge, Hernandez slid out in the bowl berm after the step-up triple jump. judge was left with a comfonable lead for less than a lap before hard-charging Auggie Rodriguez, on a Berkeley Honda/Eternal Industries CRF450R, was able to show him his front wheel in a few turns. Rodriguez made the pass in a tight comer before the uphill straight, but Judge went "outside in" and drove past Rodriguez. Two laps later, Rodriguez succumbed to judge's tacky roost and removed his goggles, giving judge a small lead, the victory, and the overall 250cc Pro-class win. B Derick S,hta (Cob). 60 BEG: I.
