ANYONE CLOSE WAS JUST A MIRAGE. If the rest of the season looks anything like round one of the Best In The Desert's Silver State Series, it's going to be a long year for the competition. Johnny Campbell and Steve Hengeveld rode their XR650R across the finish line a monstrous 15 minutes ahead of the runner-up team. And finishing third was yet another team on a XR650R. But Honda wasn't satisfied with just one win that weekend. Right after the Campbell/Hengeveld victory, Allen White and Shane Strunk piloted their TRX™450R to a BITD Pro-Quad win, the Golden West Cycle Parker 250. And down in Houston, a Honda privateer won the first round of the Formula USA Pro-Quad Series on his TRX450R, with 11m Farr finishing a close second. So the moral of the story is: if you want the most dominant offroad bike available, you need an XR650R. Or if you want the most dominant quad available, you need a TRX450R. And you'll only find them in one place: your local Honda Dealer.
