When people talk about professionalism and dedication to the sport, Pro-Circuit is always at the head of the list. Since 1976, Trek has been handcrafting performance bicycles at their factory in Waterloo, Wisconsin, and it's the same dedication to quality design and craftsmanship that helped put Trek in the history books with their six Tour de France victories." The Czech Republic Grand Prix, held at the Brno circuit in Moravia, has won the coveted IRTA "Best Grand Prix" trophy for 2004, according to a release. The Brno organization regained the trophy it won for the first time in 1999, and in the process ended three years of dominance by Spanish circuits. Brno beat off strong challenges from Valencia, Spain, trophy winner in 2002-03, with the Sepang circuit coming in third. Brno's long association with motorcycle rac~ ing began in 1950, initially promoting races featuring riders from the former "Eastern block" on an II-mile circuit. However, in the mid-50s, despite the extremely dangerous nature of the ultrafast track, Brno became a venue for that attracted virtually every topflight European rider to the annual international races. In 1965, the CZ Federation was granted an FIM Grand Prix with the revised 8.6-mile Brno circuit as host. In 1987, Brno opened its current 3.34-mile track. The IRTA Best Grand Prix trophy is awarded based on a points-scoring system that covers every aspect of running a Grand Prix. Donnie Hansen has scheduled the following schools for January 2005: January 12-13, Arizona Cycle Park, Buckeye, Arizona; January 17, Elsinore MX Park, Lake Elsinore, California; and January 27-28, San Jose Fairgrounds, San Jose, California.
