For 2005, the Suzuki RM250 is thoroughly modified to crank out more low-end and mick'ange power
than ever with power delivery that's smooth and controllable.
Of course, when our engineers get on a roll, there's no stopping them. They also refined the RM250's
suspension front and rear, making it more stable and responsive on tight, technical tracks and more
plush on rough, wide-open courses. Our engineers shaved weight off parts from top to bottom, making
the 2005 machine a true featherweight
The best thing about this year's RM250, though, is what stays the same. It still offers a better combina·
tion of power and handling than any competitor on the track. And that's a winning combination you
can use to reach the top of the podium!
> Exhaust port timing is advanced for more controllable low-end and
mid-range power.
> Larger main exhausf port and wider scavenger ports enhance mid-and
high-rpm pertormance.
> Transmission features a new input shaft with
18 splines combined with new
clutch springs for a lighter and more reliable clutch feel.
> New kickstarter shaft and new kick start lever provide easier starting.
> Showa inverted, 47mm twin-chamber cartridge-type front fork is refined for
even smoother responsiveness and greater resistance to bottoming. Fork
features 22-way adjustable compression damping, 20-way adjustable rebound
damping and 12.2 inches of wheel travel.
> Crankshah features increased inertia for smoother and more controllable
traction under hard acceleration.
> Cast-aluminum box-section swngarm features a new added bridge tube to
increase rigidity more than eight percent, enhancing straight-line stability on
rough tracks.
> Modified Showa piggyback-reservoir rear shock has a larger-diameter
inner rod for increased oil flow, providing plush action and great resistance to
bottoming. Shock features 4-way adjustable high-speed compression damping,
18-way adjustable low·speed compression damping, 2Q-way adjustable
rebound damping and provides 12.2 inches of wheel travel.
