Xaus and Elias To Tech3 Yamaha paniards Rube n Xaus and Toni Elias have inked deals that will see them ride the French-based Yamaha Tech3 Mi s in the 2005 MotoGP World Championship, time in a Valencia, Spain, following the final round of the seaso n. The young Spaniard is now looking forw ard to the season begin- the team announced last week. "Elias is clearly a tale nt, evident fro m his impressive performance on the MI during the Vale ncia test , and I'm sure he will make his mark in MotoGP in the nottoo-d istant futu re," Poncharal said. "He is a very prom ising young rider who is show- S Xaus, who rode a d'Antin Ducati in the 2004 MotoGP Series, and Elias, who competed in the 250cc Wor ld Championshi p in '04, have both signed one-year deals wit h the team. Elias has already ridde n the bike and Xaus is slated to do so for the first time in Malaysia, beginning on January 22.
