Aft e r a mid pack start , Durivage wa s hammering hard , and he moved past Koval and Doble. Meanwhile, Henry had a clear tr ack ou t fro nt. Durivage closed the gap o n the last lap , but t he dam age was done: Hen ry held on for the mota win. However, his mota-one 13th dropped him ou t of the ove rall standings. Durivage claime d the overall w ith his 1-2 mo ta finishes, Doble placed second overall, and Koval nailed down third. He scored the Vet Over 25 w in ahead of SVR membe rs Rich Sweat and Co ry Maso n, and he too k th e Over 30 victo ry ove r Mike Hogan and Craig Smith. In th e Op en A final, Lewis quickly put his ABBA Syste ms / Sch aeff e r' s H-D /B romle y 's Cycle-spo nsored Honda in front of Brian Phillips [r., Todd Kendig and Tom McGrane Jr. While Lew is was pulling out to a stra ightaway margin, Phillips d rifted high in t urn tw o on lap four, lett ing Kendig into se cond . But Phillips re took second 0 (( the fou rth tu rn on the same lap. Th e Sportsman contest had Lewis tak ing the lead from McGran e, Phillips, Chris Klinefelte r and Bryan Armstrong.
