the front. Koch made his way under Sparks to
secure thi rd . Brouhard then started battling
with Sparks, and while the two of them were
runn ing down low, Hofmeist e r too k his mount
to the high line and passed them both, and then
chased after Koch . Brouhard then followed
Hofmeister around Sparks, and the field was
set. Mataya slid a little high on th e white- flap
lap, allowing Ande rson to close the gap , but
th ere wasn't enough ti me le ft to mo unt a
challenge. Koch held on to th ird, with the hard charging Hofmeist e r clos ing quickly. Mataya
then took the chec kered flap for a victory lap as
the fairground crowd clappe d and cheered the
young champion.
Other notable ride s in the night's program
included Jordan Schleicher's winning the 80cc
O pen class (or his first win of the season , and Joe
Bentfield's winning of the Over 30 Veteran class
and the Vintage Twin class, on his Yamaha twin.

Mataya, Cole Anderson and Conner Anderson.
Fourteen-year-old phenom Chris Laubers heimer
took an incredible (our wins, in the I25cc, 2SOcc,
SOScc and Open Amateur classes.

The Vet A eve nt was a "sit on the edge of
yo ur seat" eve nt right fro m the green light .
Steve Hill and Mark Biscard i got the jump off
the line, but Brad Spencer used his skill to pass
them on the outs ide. Biscardi got past Hill (or
the seco nd position , while Antho ny Giamanco ,
Greg So re de re r, Frank Ga rcia and Clay
Chambers battled it ou t behind them. Garcia
got past everyone but Biscardi and Spencer to
take the third spot across the line.

Spencer was back on the trac k in the money
race , alongside his son Bradley Jr., his neph ew
Rodney Jr., Gar cia , Ch ambers, Carriger a nd
more . Spencer Sr. got the holeshot, followed by
Carriger, but it was n't long befor e Rodney Jr.
