Californ ian Kevin Hurt also had a on e
title but two -podium day. Hurt wailed his
YZ250F to the 125cc Novice title but didn't
get the start against Ames and Warren in
12Scc Schoo lboy.
Minibike racer Cody Adair did keep
out of tr ou ble on the tight, ro ugh t rack to
take tw o minibike titles . New Mexico 's
Adair battled with Codie Bylsma and Zeb
"Man" Smith to take a convincing win in
the 8Scc (7-1 I ) main. Adair the n ho pped
o n an RM65 to bea t holeshot king James
Justice for the 65c c (10-1 I ) championship. Cod ie Bylsma took third in both
mini mains beh ind th e red -hot Adair.

Kamm had a lot more trouble ge tt ing to
the finals than he did act ually winning the
65cc (7-9) champions hip.
With his toy hauler fully loaded for the
trek to the MGM, Kamm's hauler blew a
mot or, so he had to dr ive from Kenos ha,
Wiscons in, to "Lost Wages " with a dump
truck to wing the toy bo x. Kamm batt led
with fellow KTM pilot Tyle r McSwa in
early in the main, but McSwain went
down and left Taylor Broo khouse and
Vernon O 'Shea to chase Kamm to the
pod ium.
Whereas the pros started inside the
MGM Grand Are na, amateurs sta rte d
outside and had to negotiate an S-turn
and the tunn el section befor e comi ng into
audience view, where carnage greeted
the ove r-anxio us in se veral classes.
Richard Robinso n scooted past a big pileup
to score a huge win in the Over 30 main.

and Hare Scrambl es Champio n Sco tt
Plessinge r, had to overcome a similar
crash in his gate- pick qualifier to make it
onto the first row for the 50cc (7-8) main.
Plessinger gate d we ll in the main and ran
towa rd the fron t, but the re was no stopping Colo rado's Tanne r Wineland , who
do minated the 50cc (7-8) main, just as he
had done durin g the Friday and Saturday
night Pro programs. Wineland was the
first Pee Wee rider to win both KTM
Junior Supercross Challe nge mains and go
on to win an amateur World AX title in
the SOcc (7-8) class.
