putting on this event since 1970. and many riders come out to ride o nly th is event all year. And fo r good reason: The Beehive is a great enduro . and everyo ne has fun. All the riders were very impressed with th e great trail club that club president David Bostrom and the Com pe titio n D irt Riders laid ou t. Wide sweeping turns. fast woods trails, plenty o f logs and roots, and none of the "panic. sto p. tu m right" surprises one kee ps expecting fro m sou th Jersey woods. The trail had only a couple of tight spots and kep t almost eve ryone in third -gear, mlddle -of-the- throttle-positicn all day. T he course and check placement got huge comp liments from everyone. wi th even C rider s r eport ing having a really good time, despite the occasional cloud of dust on th e trail. Some of the A riders w o uld have like d to have seen more trai l, but the virgin C riders in attendance all finished and w ere quite happy fo r th e road mileage . Dan Sto ppi Jr. of the Delaware Enduro Riders was the only A 200cc rider to zero the last test section of the day , scoring firs t place ov er Ed Ham ilto n. Rob Aldak imov, a n A Vet rider, was on fire , blazing co m e rs and shredding st umps , but he was forced to settle for fift h place .
