TRIUMPH eons Triumph has introduced two exciting new models and a host of updates to the remainder of its lineup for 2005. The Sprint S1;Triumph's award winning sport tourer, has been completely redesigned for 2005. An all-new aluminum frame surrounds a potent new 123 bhp, 1050CC three-cylinder engine. The chassis is wrapped in stunning new bodywork and features triple-projector head lights and an underseat exhaust with three distinctive tail pipes. The new Sprint ST will be available from U.S. Triumph dealers in March, and an ABSversion will follow midsummer. The 2005 Speed Triple - the original hooligan bike that ignited the naked bike craze 10 years ago - has also been completely redes igned for 2005. The new Speed Triple features the same I 050cc engine as the 2005 Sprint ST delivering 128 bhp, mated to the Speed Triple's trademark twin-beam perimeter frame. For 2005, the Speed Triplefeatures upside-dow n forks, radial-mounted brakes , lightweight five-spoke wheels , a new single-sided swingarm and twin high-mount exhausts. The new Speed Triple is finished off with razor-sharp new bodywork that retains the essence of the classic Speed Triple look, includingthe trademark twin head lights. The 2005, Daytona 600 will receive an engine capacity increase to 646cc. This should help the Daytona 650 reward its rider with instant acceleration and lightning-fast throttle response throughout the rev range. Triumph claims a peak power of I 12 bhp at 12,500 rpm, with a peak torque figure of 51 ft.-Ibs. at 11,500 rpm . The BonnevilleT I00 and Speed master both receive the 865cc engine that first appeared in the 2004 Thruxton . The classic parallel twin motors in both bikes have been tun ed for maximum torque in the low to mid rev range for improved drivability throughout.
