Round 1 '2 OFF-ROAD __ Gra nd National Cross Cou ntry Series 2 Jason Raines 7th Yamaha's main title threat, Jason Raines, had not finished off the GNCC podium since he was injured at the first round of the series in Fe bruary, so his ride in West Virginia had many puzzled. "I haven't been getting good starts," Raines said. "I don't know, I didn't have good luck today. I was behind Chucky [Woodford] and he kicked up a rock, and I hit it with my front wheel . I crashed and ended up way back. It just seemed like everything I did didn't work out ." With Smith finishing second , the once ultra-tight GNCC points race has loosened up a bit, with Raines now dropping a full 2S points behind. 16 Scott Summers 5th Once again, Scott Summers suffe red a terrible start , which has pretty much been a constant for him for the last IS years .
