O ne rider making waves in the se ries up to that point was De nnis Trent man. Riding a Yamaha YZF250 adorned wit h t he number lOT, he was establishing himself as o ne of the fastest Novices in the area. At ro und three , Trentman raced alongside some more -expe rienced ride rs, and he really corned some heads. Trentman's first class was the 125cc Novice division, where he do minat e d in th e hea t race desp ite t he be st effo rt s o f com pete nt r id e rs such as Anth o ny Ma ce r a an d Ric hard Harmo n. Even mor e impressive was the fact tha t Trentman led the e ntire 125cc Inte rmed iate class as well. In the main, it was de ja vu. as Trentman got another holeshot and ran away with his class win, as well as the overall victory. Trentman was also entered in the 250 cc Novice class . in which he had Ch ris Foster and Ralph Garcia to dea l with , as well as the horsepower disadvantage he faced by riding a 250F. O n the track at the same time were the Vet Novice and Expert d ivision s. Apparent ly oblivio us to co nve nt ional w isdo m, Trentman once again got an incredib le start in his heat race and ran away with the win. Ditto in the main event. Though some of the Expert classes pro vided closer racing later in the night, Tre ntman's perfo rmance had the more obs ervant fans talking. Speaking of the Expert classes, some of the young rivalries created in the se ries continued to intensify. In the 250cc Expert division, Chad Foster rode against a couple of very quick young ladies: Larissa Can non and Ashlynn Marino .
