Lanzi was impressive during factory
Ducati tests at Mugello on August 3-5, lapping at one minute, S4.9 seconds in just 40
laps - much better than Eric Bostrom, the
Californian turning a I:S6.5 on a 999F04
with Michelin tires .
"I rode first time the Ducati Superbike
last year - I was very impressed by power
and speed," Lanzi said after his Mugello
test. "I came from 2SOcc GP - one year ago
I arrived from another world. But after a
season with Supersport 749R, I'm better
experienced around four-stroke machines.
I'm very happy about my times . I have a fantastic feeling with 999 , and I'm delighted
about the Ducati decision ."
Lanzi will test at VIR on August 11-12,
with Eric Bostrom.
