With allof the market ing that goes into motocross these days, many riders have opted not to run the number-one plate that they eann from a championship. Because of this, peo ple have been wondering if Chad Reed willchoose to wear his shiny new number one in Supercross or if he willstick to the familiar number 22 that we all have grown to know. "l'rn not sure ," Reed said. "I haven't really made up my mind. I kind of go in and out of it. I don't reallythink about it, but pe0ple ask me. Sometimes I think it would be nice, and sometimes I think it's not me." Motoworld Racing's Shae Be ntley showed up at Washougal to watch. Bentley has been out all year to try to get healthy for 2005. Teann manager Paul Undsay said that Bentley is feeling better and is loo king forward to being back in action in the 2005 season. This next weekend is the X Games Supennoto race . Chad Reed and Kevin Windham are looking forward to competing in the race . Orig inally RickyCarmichael , was supposed to do It, but he backed out because of his obligations to the Nat ionals and Honda. "I'm bummed, because I really wanted to do the X Games," Carmichael said. "I don't think my knee is quite ready to go out there and hang it out. Some of those guys are kind of crazy. It's X Games , and they really want to win, and I don't think I rea llywant to be put in that position. Maybe in few years when I'm not racing this [motocross) anymore." A refrigerator. Kawasaki's Paul Carpenter says, "I haven't had one at my house for 10 years. I don't use one. I have a litt le corner store I go to get my drinks and whatever. Bubba asked me, 'How can you live without a refr igerator?' Then we figured out I spend about 120 bucks a week on breakfast there.
