The Family of Ken Maely, the "S hoe Man", who was best known for making
steel shoes for almost all of the top AMA Grand National and world
championship speedway competi tors and also for running a flat-track training
facility in Southem Califomia is selling the very land where the track was
located. Ken Maely passed in 2003 and his remaining Family members have
decided to sell the 25 acre Estate shown above. The Family is currently
accepting offers for the land at a purchase price of $2,200,000. Currently one
home and a manufacturing shed rest on the land that overlooks the 15 Freeway
j ust off the Weirick exit in Corona, Califomi a in Riverside County. To the
North of the site a new housing development is beginning construction and to
the west a golf course is planned.
