Lacey darted to the head of the pack in the opening 12Scc Pro moto , followed by Yamaha rider Moore , Tyler Hck. Kyle Van Dyken and Garhett Carter. Lacey's lead incr eased w ith e ach circuit , w hile Moore a nd Fick p laced second and third. In the adjoined Interm ediate class, Idaho's Sam De Atley led for much of the moto but fell on the final lap, handing the win to O regon's Adam Metzler, Moto two was also a Lace y be nefit; the rider from Wolf Creek , Oregon , walloped the com pe t ition to cap o ff his first of two I- I swe e ps on the day. Moore again trailed Lacey at the finish. good for second overall. Former minicycle champ Fick replicated his ea rlie r moto and rounded out the to p three overall. Another Idahoan, Be n Evans, was impressive in a mo ta- tw o Int ermediat e-class victory and topped Metzler overall. Metzler ( 1-2) and Luke Evans (3-3) filled out the top three . Lacey and Ca lifornian Josh Ca va naug h headed the first 250cc Pro mota. Lacey had a good thing going up front , pu lling away convincingly and even saving wha t could have been a nasty get-off in the whoo ps. Cavanaugh had Moore to deal with; Moore got around the Honda rider to trail Lacey at mote's end . Van Dyken and Carter filled out the top five. Metzler came from well back in the Intennediate class to pos t a win, ahea d of De Atley, Travis Farmer, Daniel Harris and Nic Wolfer. Lace y 's sw e e p was complete after A dom inating moto two . Cavanaugh and Moore (the latter now Suzuki-mounted) again batt led over the runner-up position, a spot that wen t to Cavanaugh. Metzler's best start of the day came in th e second Inte rmed iate mo to , wh ich the Suzuki pilot won , making it a I- I sweep . Farme r held off De Atley's challenges to finish seco nd overall. Washingto n's Tom my Weeck was in con tention (or double-class ho no rs after winning the 8Scc ( 12- 13) class, but his fellow Evergreen State ride r Landon Currier spoiled Weeck's par ty in th e Supe rmini class . Weeck tot ally trounced the competit ion in the first Superm ini moto, but he couldn't duplicate those results in the secon d moto, which was wo n by Currie r. Jared Wood placed third overall in the 28-rider field with cons istent 4-4 platings . The largest class of the day was the 12Scc Junior class. with 38 riders . Yamaha-mounted Kevin Petrushkin was the top performer in both motos, beating Husqvarna rider Nick Randklev.
