The Belgian star will contest the MX I championship with the Michele Rinaldi managed Yamaha L&M Motocross Team. Everts' teammate Cedric Melone will also continue with the successful team. Tit le sponsors L&M have confirmed their support of the team next season. Everts joined Yamaha in 200 I and has delivered a World title in each of his three years on the team. He won back-t o -bac k World titles in the 500 class in 200 I and 2002.
