In an I 1-4 vote, the council approved the gen~ ,:. eral terms for redeveloping 20 ~ acres at the 6th and Canal Street ~ location for the museum and addil5 tional development. InJanuary, Harley-Davidson :::> announced a proposal to build a 8 230,000 square foot development on the property in three phases, to include the museum, a cafe, retail and banquet space and other future development, representing a planned investment of $95 million. "This is a big step toward making the Harley-Davidson museum a rea lity, and it's a big step in the re development o f the Menomonee Valley said Lara Lee, Harley-David," son vice president.
