Champion (which, coincidently, was the only
Nationals track he hadn't won at yet) and
Brown scoring his third podium finish of the
year and comfortably in second place overall,
the new news in the final podium spot was
one Nathan Ramseyof Team Honda Ramsey
put on a masterful performance in the first
mota, nearly grabbing the holeshot and running up front - for one lap - before getting
caught on lap three by Stewart, but holding
off 38 of the greatest motocross racers in the
world for second place.
"Nathan was very pleased with his perforrnance today, as was Honda," said Honda
team manager Erik Kehoe.

provide some highlights for the crowd outside the runaway leaders.
"Bernie [Yelin, the late promoter of

said Mota 338 promoter Diane Peeb les.

Brown, who now holds a 2 1-point lead
over Ramsey for second place in the overall

Ricky," Brown said. "I've been staying with
him a lot, training, and that's it."
The rest of the field wou ld pretty much
remain the same as the first mota, with
Schnell settlingin after hisgood start and taking seventh .
