Nation al at High Point, Carmi chael survived a first-mo to tipover and caught
Yamaha's Reed a lap late r in th e exact
spot where Reed got by him. Carmichael
then cr uised to a seemingly easy victory.
The Red Rider then ove rcame an excit ing elbow -to -elbow start in the sec ond
