Photographer Michael Lichter has bee n photographing the
bike r lifestyle for over 25 years. In addition to his boo k Sturgis:
The Photography ofMichael lkmer, he has shot over 600 fea-
lure-length articles for magazines like Easyriders and V-Twin.
After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado, he got the break he needed by landing the
cover shot fo r a local news paper, despite the fact that he
never had any intention of becoming a full-time photographer. From there he began shooting for Easyriders. and the
rest . as they say, is history.
The bread and butter of Lichter 's wo rk is his commercial
photography. which he and business partner Steve Temple
