Many were glad to see Steve
Lamson back in action after his
giant get-offat Hangtown. The
Dirt Diggers.com rider wadded
hard at Prairie City on the ultra gnarlydownhill double. "I went
huge, hit, and my wheel stuck in a hay bale Lamson said. "I cart,"
wheeled and hit my head pretty good , started seeing stars, and my
face was pretty bloody. I was so pissed, because I was up to sixth
place with four laps to go. But on the bright side, Iwas pretty
lucky." Lamson raced back to seventh (11-9) at High Point.

on lap fo u r. From there, Hepler stud ied Walker's lines,
and it paid off when he took the second spot back late
in the race.
"I rode a little tight at the beginning o f the mota,"
said Hepler. " I didn't know what to do, I was just
happy to get such a good start. I was a little nervous in
front of this crowd. He had better lines, but I started
rid ing smoother, and I was able to pick better lines and
get by him."
" Bra e rode a good race ," Walker said . " H e has a lot
of miles on th is track. Not to take anything away from
him though, because he rode strong. I think he sat on
me for awhile and saw my good lines, so I'll have to
watch the tapes in this next mota and figure out what

A fe w spots behind the ir battle came a n eye-opening performance from Team Green rookie Ryan Sipes,

Stewart served up a headache for everyone else in
mota two. He didn't get a great start on his twostroke machine, but he s imply pinned it up the ins ide
of High Point's sweeping first t u rn and blew past
everyone else, leaving him with the lead by turn two.
From there it was all over: Stewart would w in by 30
seconds.
Little changed behind him either, as Walker and
Hepler again hooked up in a figh t for runner- up. This

you know?" Brown said. " I figured I could just crash
and end up in last or just ride smooth and take third.
I'm ju st trying to be consistent as we work on my bike.
It's getting a lo t better, and I'm getting more used to
