The Ducati Austin rider,

expected of him and his blue

Michelin tires by winning the
Superbike race for the third year in
a row at Pikes Peak International
Raceway. From the podium to the
press conference, Bostrom couldn't
stop smiling, but he cautioned that it
was just the start.
"It's really great for Ducati and

Th e win marked several milestones.
It was Bostrom's fifth at PPIR. the most
by any rider in its eight-year history. It
was Ducati's first since Eric's brother
Ben won on the Vance & Hines Ducati
at Brainerd in August of 1999. And it
was Michelin's first win since Larry
Pegram rode the Fast by Ferracci
Ducan to yi!=,tory ~t Willow Sllfin~ in
April 1999.
